Kaasten Reh is the Director Events & Awards Fruitnet Media International GmbH – After 10 years in the editorial department at the leading German trade magazine Fruchthandel Magazin, he has now been organizing the Fruit Logistica program for the publishing house Fruitnet Media International – together with international colleagues in London and Düsseldorf – for more than 20 years, as well as other congresses on important industry topics such as packaging or sustainability in Germany.
Kaasten also organizes some of the most important industry awards, such as the Fruchthandel Magazin Retail Award, which is held in the highest regard by German retailers and which everyone is desperate to win, and the German Fruit Award for outstanding departments. And, of course, the publishing house also organizes the Fruit Logistica Innovation Award – a kind of Oscar of the fresh produce industry.
Kaasten has accompanied Fruit Logistica since its inception and has also been on the Fruit Logistica advisory board for more than 20 years, so he knows the development of the fair inside out.
Juanita brings an international flair to the Produce Podcast ! As a fruit and vegetable aficionado she began her produce career with an agricultural consulting firm in Brussels, Belgium. Her experience is “broad reaching” and spans market visits with wholesalers, growers/shippers and retailers in the EU market. She has continued to pursue her produce passion through consulting with domestic and international commodity boards helping them to execute their marketing efforts with data analysis to execute their marketing objectives.
